Job summary

The MA Apprentice will be trained to provide support to the providers and nurses in the delivery of care, with responsibilities that include greeting patients, managing provider schedule and patient flow, collecting and documenting patient medical history, and providing appropriate information to patients and families.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED or equivalent
• Ability to interact with diverse cultures and backgrounds
• Willingness to learn medical assistant duties and EMR usage
• Excellent verbal and interpersonal skills

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service aligned with organizational values
• Greet patients and manage provider schedules and patient flow
• Document patient medical history and update records in EMR
• Assist providers and nursing staff and support onboarding of new staff
• Maintain exam rooms and stock supplies, assist with procedures
