Job summary

Benedictine is offering a paid Nursing Assistant Trainee program in Minnesota. The role provides CNA-NAR training at no cost, with pay and certification during training.

Trainees will learn to collect resident data, monitor conditions, and communicate with residents, families, and health team members under supervision. Applicants must be enrolled in a CNA-NAR program or hired into Benedictine's NA training track, be eligible for the state registry, and communicate in English; BLS certification

Qualifications

• The Nursing Assistant Trainee must attend all scheduled classes and successfully pass the state required certification test.
• The Nursing Assistant Trainee will collect initial and ongoing data on all residents and report the condition and changes to the RN or LPN.
• The Nursing Assistant Trainee will communicate and interact with residents, families, and other health team members.
• Must currently be enrolled in and attending a CNA-NAR training program or be hired into Benedictine NA training program
• Must be eligible to be on the State Nursing Assistant registry or appropriate entity pending successful completion of training
• Must be able to read, write and communicate in English
• BLS Certification.

Responsibilities

• Attend CNA-NAR classes and pass the certification test.
• Collect data on residents and report changes to RN/LPN.
• Communicate with residents, families, and health team members.
• Maintain English literacy and BLS certification if required.
