Job summary

Benedictine Living Community-Winona in Winona, MN is seeking a part-time CNA-NAR Trainee (Hire to Train). Earn while you learn as Benedictine sponsors CNA-NAR training classes with no cost; you will be paid during training and earn a certification.

You will attend scheduled classes, collect data on residents, and communicate with residents, families and health team members. Must be enrolled in CNA-NAR training, eligible for state registry, English literate, and hold a BLS certification.

Qualifications

• Must be enrolled in a CNA-NAR training program or hired into Benedictine NA training program.
• Must be eligible to be on the State Nursing Assistant registry after training.
• Must be able to read, write and communicate in English.
• BLS Certification.

Overview

As an associate of Benedictine, you will be given the tools and skills necessary to be successful as a Certified Nursing Assistant. There is no cost for the training and you will get paid and earn a certification while you train.

Responsibilities

• The Nursing Assistant Trainee must attend all scheduled classes and successfully pass the state required certification test.
• The Nursing Assistant Trainee will collect initial and ongoing data on all residents and report the condition and changes to the RN or LPN.
• The Nursing Assistant Trainee will communicate and interact with residents, families, and other health team members.

Qualifications

• Must currently be enrolled in and attending a CNA-NAR training program or be hired into a Benedictine NA training program
• Must be eligible to be on the State Nursing Assistant registry or appropriate entity pending successful completion of training
• Must be able to read, write and communicate in English
• BLS Certification.

Additional Information

FTE varies, part-time & full-time available once successful completion of CNA course and passing of state CNA exams.

Your final wage compensation will be determined based on factors such as skills, education, and/or experience. Additionally, we believe in the importance of pay equity and consider the internal equity of our current team members as a part of any final offer. Please keep in mind that entry-level candidates to this role should expect to be at the lower end of the wage range and hiring at the maximum of the wage range is not typical.
