Job summary

Brightpoint invites you to join our team as Home Visitor (Early Start) in Winnebago County, serving families in Rockford and surrounding areas. The role involves meeting expectant parents and families with young children, providing assessments, education, and connections to community resources.

The position requires an Associates or higher in social work/child development, driving license, ability to travel to in-person home visits, and bilingual English/Spanish preferred.

Qualifications

• Associates Degree in Social Work, Child Development, or related field.
• Bachelor's Degree in Social Work or Child Development preferred.
• Minimum of one year of experience with families with children under 5.
• Must have a valid driver's license and reliable vehicle.
• Must be certified in the appropriate program model or obtain certification within 90 days of hire.
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.

Responsibilities

• Meet regularly with families at home to complete assessments and develop goals.
• Provide observations of parent-child interactions and coach communication.
• Assist families in forming community connections and referrals.
• Develop partnerships with community providers.
