Job summary

Eventual is building a data-driven fintech platform to tackle insurance unaffordability. We’re a small, high-energy team shipping across the full stack from backend APIs to frontend interfaces used daily by customers.

We seek a software engineer with 3+ years of production experience, comfortable across the stack or strong in one area, with solid Python/TypeScript and relational database skills. Join a fast-moving, high-ownership environment in NYC or LA.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience building and shipping production software.
• Comfortable working across the stack, or strong in one area with willingness to stretch.
• Solid fundamentals in Python and/or TypeScript or equivalent.
• Experience with relational databases and clean API design.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain backend services and APIs in FastAPI and PostgreSQL.
• Develop frontend components and flows in Next.js and Tailwind.
• Translate Figma designs into responsive, accessible interfaces.
• Integrate with external services including Stripe, Auth0, and Canopy Connect.
• Own features end-to-end: design, build, test, deploy, support.
• Help shape engineering practices and architecture as the team scales.
