Job summary

FedEx in North Charleston, SC is seeking a Package Handler to ensure safe, efficient operation of equipment used to move packages, documents, and heavyweight freight. You will assist in pallet buildup and breakdown and serve as a liaison with the ULD repair vendor when required.

This role requires the ability to lift up to 50 lbs from ground to chest level, walk and stand for long hours, climb stairs or ladders, and work in all weather conditions.

Qualifications

• Able to lift 50 lbs from ground to chest level.
• Able to walk and stand for designated work hours.
• Able to bend and squat for designated work hours.
• Able to climb stairs and ladders if required at work location.
• Ability to communicate effectively in a noisy environment.

Responsibilities

• Provides safe and efficient operation of equipment used to move packages/docs/heavyweight, dangerous goods and ULDs.
• Assists in buildup and breakdown of pallets containing heavyweight freight.
• Acts as liaison between the company and ULD repair vendor as required.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
