Job summary

University Health Partners of Hawai'i is seeking an experienced RN for the Early Phase Clinical Research Center. The role delivers direct patient care, administers medications, and coordinates care plans in collaboration with physicians and the care team.

The position requires Hawai‘i RN licensure, a Bachelor’s in Nursing, and CITI training within 3 months. BLS certification and oncology/clinical trials experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing; Hawai‘i RN license required.
• CITI training within 3 months of hire; BLS CPR certification.
• Two years RN experience in oncology or clinical trials preferred.
• Knowledge of HIPAA, GCP and ICH in human subjects research.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care per nursing standards and policies.
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care plans.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Place IV access and monitor venous devices.
• Monitor progress and document in medical records.
• Collaborate with physicians and health professionals.
• Maintain HIPAA-compliant patient documentation.
• Assist admissions, discharges, transfers.
• Respond promptly to emergencies with proper nursing interventions.
• Follow infection control and safety procedures.
• Provide in-service protocol training to clinic staff with PI.
• Comply with legal requirements and company policies.
• Maintain patient confidentiality; work variable shifts.
