General Purpose:

The Retail Associate ensures our Customers have a positive shopping experience by greeting all Customers courteously, maintaining a clean work area, and ensuring proper merchandise presentation. The Associate performs various tasks across the store as needed and may be asked to perform additional tasks to meet customer service and operational goals.

Essential Functions:

  • Prioritize safety by practicing safe behaviors and maintaining awareness on the sales floor.
  • Create a safe shopping environment, keep exits clear, and report unsafe conditions.
  • Maintain courteous and professional interactions with Customers and Associates, recognizing fellow team members.
  • Assist Customers with inquiries, merchandise, and transactions, greeting and thanking them appropriately.
  • Respond promptly to Customer Service calls and resolve issues courteously, involving Store Leadership when necessary.
  • Support the Company brand, maintain cleanliness, and ensure merchandise is well-presented and replenished.
  • Follow loss prevention policies, safeguard confidential information, and handle transactions accurately.
  • Perform tasks efficiently, minimizing steps and maximizing productivity.

Qualifications and Skills:

Effective communication skills, basic math ability, and the capacity to perform physical tasks such as standing, walking, bending, lifting, and using store equipment.

Physical Requirements/ADA:

  • Ability to use store equipment, stand, walk, bend, squat, reach, and lift over 25 pounds as needed.
  • For Stockroom shifts, ability to lift over 20 pounds regularly.
