General Purpose

The Retail Associate ensures our Customers have a positive shopping experience. Responsibilities include greeting customers, maintaining a clean and organized store, assisting with merchandise, and supporting loss prevention efforts. The role requires engagement in various tasks during all working hours, performing additional duties as needed to meet customer service and operational goals.

Essential Functions

• Prioritize safety and practice safe behaviors at all times.
• Maintain awareness on the sales floor to ensure a secure shopping environment and report unsafe conditions.
• Greet customers courteously, assist with merchandise, and handle transactions professionally.
• Respond promptly to customer inquiries and issues, escalating to Store Leadership when necessary.
• Support the company brand and perform cleaning and maintenance tasks to keep the store presentable.
• Ensure merchandise is well-organized and replenished according to company standards.
• Understand and follow loss prevention policies, including merchandise protection and theft prevention.
• Handle cash and transactions accurately, following all policies and procedures.
• Demonstrate a sense of urgency and maximize productivity by following best practices.

Qualifications and Skills

Effective communication, basic math skills, and the ability to perform physical tasks such as standing, walking, lifting, and using store equipment are required.

Physical Requirements/ADA

• Use of store equipment, standing, walking, bending, squatting, reaching, and lifting up to 25 pounds regularly.

Compensation

The pay range is $16.50 - $17.00, dependent on experience, skills, and location. This is part of the total compensation package.
