General Purpose

The Retail Associate ensures our Customers have a positive shopping experience. Responsibilities include greeting customers, maintaining a clean work area, ensuring proper merchandise presentation, and performing various tasks as needed across the store to meet operational and customer service goals.

Essential Functions

• Prioritize safety and practice safe behaviors at all times.
• Create a safe shopping environment by maintaining awareness and reporting unsafe conditions.
• Treat all Customers and Associates with respect and courtesy; recognize fellow Associates.
• Assist Customers with merchandise, answer questions, and provide excellent service.
• Respond promptly to Customer Service calls and issues.
• Support the Company brand and uphold integrity and honesty in all interactions.
• Perform cleaning and maintenance tasks to keep the store clean and organized.
• Follow merchandising and stock management best practices.
• Understand Loss Prevention policies and merchandise protection standards.
• Handle transactions accurately and efficiently, following all policies.
• Work with a sense of urgency to maximize productivity.

Qualifications and Skills

Effective communication with Customers, Associates, and Leadership. Basic math skills relevant to retail operations.

Physical Requirements / ADA

• Ability to use store equipment including registers and PCs.
• Stand, walk, and move around the store up to 100% of the time.
• Perform bending, squatting, reaching, and lifting over 25 pounds as needed.
• Work in stockrooms and use equipment like ladders and rolling racks.
