Job summary

The YMCA of Greater Boston is seeking a Morning Shift Lifeguard for the Menino YMCA. This part-time, non-exempt role opens the pool at 5:45 AM, ensuring safety and enforcing rules while supporting emergency protocols.

Required active lifeguard certifications and being at least 18 years old. Training is provided, with comprehensive benefits and opportunities to grow within the Aquatics department.

Qualifications

• Active lifeguard certification required within first four weeks of employment (YMCA, Red Cross or equivalent).
• Must possess current CPR and First Aid certifications.

Responsibilities

• Guard the pool during opening shift and maintain constant scanning of the water.
• Enforce pool rules and safety procedures; respond to emergencies and provide CPR/First Aid as needed.
• Assist with branch emergency protocols and safety drills; complete incident reports promptly.
