Job summary

Gordon Food Service in Taunton, MA is seeking a Freight Handler to support daily warehouse operations. You will safely remove pallets from trailers, break down product for correct pallet configuration, and separate inbound freight by item code. No prior experience is required as training is provided.

You must be at least 18, able to work holidays and weekends, and comfortable with cold or hot environments. A pre-employment drug test and background check are required.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Must be able to work holidays, weekends, and overtime as needed.
• Ability to work in extreme cold or hot conditions (-25F to 100F).
• Must be able to read, write and communicate in English.
• Pre-employment drug test and background check required.
• Prior warehouse experience preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Safely remove pallets of product from trailers and break down for correct pallet configuration.
• Separate inbound freight by item code onto good pallets.
• Account for pallet integrity and ensure damaged product is not received into inventory.
• Support warehouse team with orderly loading and unloading processes.
