FedEx Freight in Baltimore is seeking a dock worker to move freight between trailers and dock areas, using forklift, pallet jack, and hand trucks. You will verify freight documents, secure loads, and assist customers.

Requirements include at least 18 years old, a high school diploma or equivalent, and the ability to lift heavy freight in a fast-paced environment. Starting pay is $22.92 per hour with a range up to $26.82.

Formación

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Prior warehousing, freight handling and/or forklift experience preferred.
• Hostler/yard mule duties experience preferred.
• Ability to count and perform basic math, with or without a calculator.
• Basic written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to lift/carry hand freight of varying weights several times a week, up to ~100 lbs and 75 lbs opening trailer doors.
• Ability to bend, twist, squat, push/pull freight throughout shift.
• Work independently and/or as part of a team.
• Previous dock/warehouse experience preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Move freight between dock areas and trailers using motorized and manual equipment.
• Verify freight documentation matches description (type, weight, hazardous materials).
• Secure freight inside trailers using pallets, straps, rope.
• Recoup/repair damaged freight as needed.
• Complete required documentation and reports.
• Assist customers with freight and freight documentation as needed.
• Perform hostling duties if required.
• Comply with laws, regulations, and company policies.
