FedEx Freight in California is hiring for a dock worker to move freight across the dock area, operate forklifts and hand trucks, and assist with freight documentation. Starting pay is $23.46 per hour with a typical shift 04:00–10:00, Monday through Friday.

The role requires basic math, ability to lift heavy loads, and the capability to work independently or as part of a team. The position offers benefits and is housed in a safety-focused environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent, preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Experience in warehousing or freight handling preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 100 pounds and handle heavy dock plates.
• Strong basic math and written/verbal communication.

Responsabilités

• Perform freight handling using motorized and manual equipment including forklift, pallet jack and hand truck.
• Verify documentation matches freight description (type, weight, hazardous materials) using current system.
• Secure freight inside trailers using pallets, straps, rope.
• Recoup/repair damaged freight when necessary.
• Verify and complete required documentation and reports.
• Assist customers with freight and freight documentation as needed.
• Perform hostling duties if required.
• Comply with laws, regulations, and company policies.
• Perform other duties as required.
