Job summary

You will verify paperwork, secure loads, assist customers with freight needs, and maintain safety in a fast-paced dock environment. Starting pay is $21.17 per hour for an early shift (0500-0900).

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent, preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Prior warehousing or forklift experience preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 100 pounds and handle heavy freight.
• Ability to work in varied weather and fast-paced environments.

Responsibilities

• Operate forklift, pallet jack, and hand truck to move freight.
• Verify freight documentation matches description (type, weight, hazards).
• Secure freight inside trailers using pallets, straps and rope.
• Recoup/repair damaged freight as needed.
• Verify and complete required documentation and reports.
• Assist customers with freight and documentation as needed.
• Perform hostling duties if required.
• Comply with laws, regulations, and company policies.
• Perform other duties as required.
