Job summary

Federal Express Corporation in Detroit is seeking a skilled team member to operate equipment safely for movement of packages and heavyweight freight. You will assist in pallet buildup/breakdown and coordinate with the ULD repair vendor as needed.

The role requires physical fitness to lift 50 lbs, move heavy items, and work in a noisy environment. Morning shift applies (Tue–Sat, 4:00 AM–8:00 AM) with background check and drug screening required.

Qualifications

• Able to lift 50 lbs from ground to chest level.
• Able to walk and stand for designated work hours.
• Able to bend, squat and maneuver packages above shoulder level.
• Able to work in all weather conditions as required at the location.
• Ability to communicate effectively in a noisy operations environment.

Responsibilities

• Provides safe and efficient operation of equipment used for movement of packages/documents/heavyweight, dangerous goods and ULDs.
• Assists in buildup/breakdown of pallets containing heavyweight freight.
• Serves as liaison between company and ULD repair vendor, as required.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
