Job summary

The City of Morgantown is hiring a Downtown Cleanliness Ambassador to help shape the first impression of Morgantown for residents and visitors. You will keep public spaces in the downtown and wharf districts clean and welcoming, using cleaning methods such as sweeping, power washing, and litter removal throughout your shift.

You will work under the Facilities Superintendent and Deputy Director of Engineering & Public Works, wear PPE, follow safety policies, and interact regularly with business

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience: Less than one year experience is required.
• License: Valid driver's license required.

Responsibilities

• Maintains cleanliness of public spaces in downtown and wharf districts.
• Cleans sidewalks, benches, trash receptacles, and other public areas.
• Performs sweeping, power washing, and other cleaning methods as needed.
• Assists with preparing right-of-way and areas for events.
• Interacts with business owners, residents and visitors in a professional manner.
