City of Morgantown is seeking a Downtown Cleanliness Ambassador to help create the first impression of Morgantown in the heart of our community. This role focuses on keeping downtown public spaces clean, safe, and welcoming for residents and visitors, under the supervision of the Facilities Superintendent and the Deputy Director of Engineering & Public Works.

You will perform tasks to maintain sidewalks, alleys, trails, and other public areas, including snow and ice removal in winter.

Qualifications

• Education: High school degree or GED.
• Certification/License: Valid Driver’s License.

Responsabilités

• Maintain and clean public spaces and right of ways, focusing on downtown and wharf districts.
• Clean sidewalks, alleys, trails, and other public areas; remove litter and debris.
• Operate light equipment such as leaf blowers, sidewalk sweepers, power washers.
• Interact with residents and visitors in a professional, courteous manner as a city representative.
• Maintain paperwork and daily logs of materials and equipment used.
