Diocese of Bridgeport Catholic Schools seeks a Reading Interventionist to support PreK-3 at St. Raphael Academy's Gillis Literacy Center.

You will assess students, provide targeted instruction, monitor progress, and collaborate with elementary literacy staff to align interventions with core literacy instruction. The role emphasizes evidence-based practice, progress monitoring, and data-driven decision making to strengthen early literacy development across partner schools within the Gillis

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Education, Reading, Literacy, or a related field.
Experience working directly with elementary students in reading instruction or intervention.
Knowledge of literacy development and evidence-based reading instruction.
Experience administering or using literacy screening, diagnostic, or progress-monitoring assessments.
Familiarity with evidence-based reading intervention programs and strategies.
Ability to analyze student data and use findings to guide instruction.
Strong communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.
Experience working with diverse student populations.

Responsabilités

Identify students requiring targeted literacy intervention through assessment and data analysis.
Provide targeted literacy instruction to students individually and in small groups.
Monitor student progress and adjust instructional strategies based on data.
Collaborate with literacy coaches and classroom teachers to align intervention with core instruction.
Maintain accurate student records and communicate progress to teachers, administrators, and families.
Support MTSS/SRBI framework implementation.
