Job summary

Middletown Public Schools seeks an Elementary School Academic Interventionist to support literacy in grades K-5. You will collaborate with classroom teachers and use data-driven methods to raise reading levels.

Responsibilities include administering assessments, delivering targeted interventions, and communicating progress to families and staff. Requires CT Elementary Certification and a Bachelor's degree.

• Provides high quality instruction to individual students and small groups.
• Uses data to provide instruction and bring skills to grade level.
• Uses research-based interventions focused on individual student needs.
• Maintains data-based documentation of student performance and progress.
• Communicates student progress to classroom teacher, building principal, teams and leadership.

• Provides data to school teams and participates in decisions about student progress.

• Provides diagnostic assessments for students as needed.
• Supports implementation of assessment tools and data management systems.
• Collects and analyzes student data as it relates to reading and literacy.
• Communicates student progress to his/her classroom teacher, building principal, building teams and curriculum leadership as needed.
