Job summary

Ampact's Early Learning Corps seeks an Early Learning Tutor in a Miami pre-kindergarten classroom to support literacy and early numeracy. You will partner with a teacher to deliver proven activities, engage students through talking, reading, writing, singing, and play, and help them build confidence.

Position is part of AmeriCorps, offering a biweekly stipend and education awards; 35-hour weekday schedule for the 2026-27 year, with part-time options (25 or 18 hours) available.

Qualifications

• Fluent in English for speaking, reading, and writing.
• Able to use basic computer tools (email, online navigation).
• Dependable with a history of good attendance and reliability.

Responsibilities

• Be a caring adult focused on helping students thrive.
• Support preschoolers with learning activities throughout the day.
• Track student progress and meet with on-site coach regularly.
• Conduct skill assessments and enter scores into tracking software.
• Commit to personal growth through coaching and training.
• Share experiences with the community.
