Ampact's Early Learning Corps seeks an Early Learning Tutor to work in a pre-kindergarten classroom, delivering proven activities and coaching students to build early literacy and math skills. You'll be trained and supported every step.

Working with a school partner, you’ll help students through talking, reading, writing, singing, and playing to ignite a love of learning. Part-time options (25 and 18 hours) and a 32-hour schedule are available for this role in Rochester, NY.

Qualifications

• Dependable with a history of good attendance.
• Able to follow instructions and improve based on feedback.
• Proficient in basic computer skills (email and navigating online).
• Fluent in English for speaking, reading, and writing.
• 18 years of age or older with a high school diploma or equivalent.
• A citizen, national, or lawful permanent resident of the United States.

Join Early Learning Corps as an Early Learning Tutor and you’ll spend your days in a pre-kindergarten classroom to help students build skills and confidence. We’ll train you to deliver proven activities and coach you every step of the way!

How does it work? Partnering with a teacher, you’ll help enhance learning. Whether talking, reading, writing, singing, or playing with students, you’ll be helping them to build early literacy and math skills.

Schedule

We are currently hiring for the 2026-27 school year.Positions run September 2026-June 2027.

• 32hours per week (less in weeks with holidays or school release days)
• Daytime hours (correspond with school start and end times)
• Monday - Friday (no weekends)
• Time off on holidays and school release days

Part-time positions are also available at 25 and 18 hours per week!
