KinderCare Learning Companies in the United States is hiring a Cook to prepare healthy meals for children in our centers, following menus created by our in-house nutritionist. You will ensure meals meet safety and portion standards while contributing to a nurturing learning environment.

As a Cook, you will maintain kitchen safety, order supplies, and document activities in accordance with KinderCare regulations.

Qualifications

• Love for children and desire to make a difference daily.
• Familiar with safe food handling, storage, and allergies.
• Ability to follow nutritious menus and portion meals accurately.
• Basic math for measuring and portions.
• Possess or be willing to obtain a Food Handler’s License.
• At least 1 year institutional cooking experience; food ordering desirable.
• 2+ years working with children is desirable.
• Read/write/speak English to communicate with children and families

Responsibilities

• Prepare healthy and tasty meals following menu and recipes.
• Maintain kitchen equipment and hygienic standards.
• Order food and supplies as needed.
• Dispense and store medications as requested and required documentation.
• Support center duties and collaborate with staff to meet goals.
• Communicate with families and center staff to ensure quality meals.
