KinderCare Learning Companies is hiring a Cook to prepare healthy meals and snacks for children in our centers. You’ll follow menus, maintain a safe kitchen, and help ensure accurate documentation and supply ordering. The role supports nutrition needs and daily center operations in a busy childcare environment.

Qualifications

• Passion for supporting children's development.
• Knowledge of safe food handling, storage, and allergy considerations.
• Ability to read and follow menus, recipes, and regulatory requirements.
• Experience with basic math for portioning and measuring.
• Food handler’s license or willingness to obtain one.
• Prior institutional cooking and child-focused environment is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare healthy meals and snacks for children following menu and recipes.
• Maintain kitchen safety, hygiene, and equipment cleanliness.
• Order food and supplies as needed to support meals.
• Dispense and store medications per regulations if required.
• Document daily center activities accurately and timely.
• Collaborate with center staff to support enrollment, accreditation, and engagement goals.
