This position supports educators by engaging with students, assisting with activities, and supervising meals and rest times in a safe, inclusive setting.

  • Assist or directly carry out educational activities designed by the educator.
  • Responsible for meal preparation and supervises rest time.
  • Engage with students during indoor/outdoor play with precautions for student safety.
  • Guide classroom behavior in an age-appropriate way.
  • Support the needs of students during small groups or individual instruction.
  • Respond appropriately to the cultural, economic, and linguistic differences between students.
  • Respect the confidentiality and privacy of all students, parents, and staff members.
  • Other duties as assigned by educator.

  • To ensure high quality learning and student/teacher ratios are maintained when regular early learning support staff are absent. Location

Early Learning Centers.

Hours Per Day
  • Times may vary depending on the building assignment.
  • Flexible hours depending on availability.
  • Average workday= 7.5 hours.
Days Per Year
  • Positions available during the regular school year.
  • Options for summer employment.
Benefits
  • Vision and dental insurance are available for employees working 17.5hours/week.
  • Health is available for employees working at least 30+/week with a value of district contributions of $7,788 per year.
  • Retirement Plan options available for employees working at least 17.5 hours/week.

Performance Evaluation

Performance of this job will be evaluated annually in accordance with provisions of the Board's policy on the evaluation of classified personnel.
