Manhattan-Ogden USD383 is seeking an Early Learning Classroom Support to help maintain high-quality learning environments and appropriate student-teacher ratios when staff are absent. The role offers a flexible schedule and opportunities across the regular school year, with potential summer employment.

This position supports educators by engaging with students, assisting with activities, and supervising meals and rest times in a safe, inclusive setting.

Qualifications

• Experience working with diverse classrooms is preferred.
• Ability to follow educator-designed activities and adapt as needed.
• Strong commitment to student safety and well-being.

Responsibilities

• Assist or directly carry out educational activities designed by the educator.
• Responsible for meal preparation and supervises rest time.
• Engage with students during indoor/outdoor play with precautions for student safety.
• Guide classroom behavior in an age-appropriate way.
• Support the needs of students during small groups or individual instruction.
• Respond appropriately to the cultural, economic, and linguistic differences between students.
• Respect the confidentiality and privacy of all students, parents, and staff members.
• Other duties as assigned by educator.
