Job summary

Mid Florida Community Services, Inc. is seeking a Classroom Assistant at Spring Hill Head Start. The role supports teachers in daily operations and helps provide a developmentally appropriate learning environment for children.

The position offers Monday–Friday schedules from 9:00am to 5:30pm with an hourly wage range of $15.25 to $18.00, depending on experience. A High School diploma or GED and related certifications are required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required; CDA or FCCPC required for full-time.
• CPR/First Aid certification required.
• Valid Florida driver's license and insurability required.

Responsibilities

• Assist teacher with developmentally appropriate activities to support children's development.
• Maintain safe, clean classroom and playground area and report unsafe conditions.
• Monitor attendance and assist with sign-in/out procedures and child records.
• Support learning experiences and language development through guided activities.
• Assist in planning and implementing lesson plans with teachers.
