Job summary

Yellow Brick Road is seeking an Educator’s Aide to support lead educators in delivering play-based, age-appropriate activities that foster physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development. You will help maintain a safe, inclusive classroom and assist with routines, family communication, and daily updates.

Ideal candidates meet DHS Aide requirements, have strong communication and organizational skills, and can handle physical demands.

Qualifications

• DHS Educator’s Aide qualification requirements.
• Previous experience with young children is preferred but not required.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
• Ability to meet physical demands (standing/sitting, lifting up to 40lbs, bending, kneeling).
• Background checks and state licensing requirements must be met.
• Possess CPR/First Aid certification or obtain within 30 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Lead Educator in implementing play-based, age-appropriate lesson plans and activities.
• Maintain a positive classroom culture that fosters belonging, safety, and curiosity.
• Provide active supervision of students in classroom and outdoor activities.
• Observe and record developmental milestones under guidance of Lead Educator.
• Perform daily cleaning and sanitizing of the classroom and materials.
• Support positive behavior guidance strategies.
• Greet families at drop-off/pick-up and share updates via the center’s platform.
