Job summary

Yellow Brick Road seeks an Educator’s Aide to support teachers in creating a nurturing, engaging environment for young learners. You will assist with age-appropriate activities, help sustain routines, and foster social-emotional growth.

You’ll supervise children during activities and transitions, document milestones, and communicate with families. CPR/First Aid certification or willingness to obtain within 30 days is required, with ongoing professional development offered.

Qualifications

• Must meet DHS Educator’s Aide qualification requirements.
• Previous experience with young children in a childcare setting is preferred.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
• Ability to meet physical demands and safety requirements (up to 40 lbs, standing/walking).
• CPR/First Aid certification or willingness to obtain within 30 days.

Responsibilities

• Assist Lead Educator in implementing play-based, age-appropriate lessons aligned with early learning standards.
• Help maintain a positive classroom culture that fosters belonging, safety, and curiosity.
• Provide active supervision to ensure safety and engagement in all activities.
• Observe and record developmental milestones under guidance of the Lead Educator.
• Perform daily cleaning and sanitizing to maintain a safe environment.
• Support positive behavior guidance strategies.
• Greet families and support positive daily interactions at drop-off/pick-up, via the center’s platform.
