Job summary

Yellow Brick Road in Burnsville, MN is seeking an Educator’s Aide to support lead educators in creating a nurturing learning environment for young children.

You will assist with lesson plans, supervise children, help with classroom routines, and communicate with families. DHS Educator’s Aide qualifications required; CPR/First Aid certification preferred.

Qualifications

• Must meet the Department of Human Services (DHS) Educator’s Aide qualification requirements.
• Previous experience with young children in childcare is preferred but not required.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
• Ability to meet physical demands: stand/sit for long periods, lift up to 40 lbs, bend and kneel.
• Willing to undergo background checks and state licensing requirements.
• CPR/First Aid certification required or within 30 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Lead Educator in implementing play-based, age-appropriate activities.
• Maintain a positive classroom culture with safety and curiosity.
• Provide active supervision to ensure children’s safety and engagement.
• Assist in observing and recording developmental milestones.
• Perform daily cleaning and sanitizing of the classroom and materials.
• Support positive behavior guidance strategies.
• Greet families and support positive daily interactions during drop-off/pick-up.
• Provide updates on student activities through the center’s communication platform.
