Job summary

Yellow Brick Road is hiring an Educator’s Aide to support lead educators in creating a nurturing, engaging learning environment for children. You will help implement play-based activities, assist with supervision, and support families during daily transitions while adhering to licensing requirements.

Ideal candidates have strong communication and organizational skills, are willing to undergo background checks, and are prepared to obtain CPR/First Aid certification within 30 days.

Qualifications

• Must meet the Department of Human Services (DHS) Educator’s Aide qualification requirements.
• Previous experience with young children in childcare is preferred but not required.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
• Ability to meet physical demands (standing/sitting, lifting up to 40 lbs).
• Willingness to undergo background checks and state licensing requirements.
• CPR/First Aid certification required or willingness to obtain within 30 days.

Responsibilities

• Assist Lead Educator with play-based, age-appropriate lessons aligned with early learning standards.
• Maintain a positive classroom culture that fosters belonging, safety, and curiosity.
• Provide active supervision of students in classroom and outdoor activities.
• Observe and record developmental milestones under Lead Educator supervision.
• Perform daily cleaning and sanitizing of the classroom and materials.
• Support positive behavior guidance strategies.
• Greet families and support positive daily interactions during drop-off/pick-up.
• Provide updates via the center’s platform on students’ daily activities, meals, rest, and learning experiences.
