Job summary

A Native American tribe in Alaska seeks an Early Learning Aide to support the Early Learning program for children aged Birth-5. You will assist teachers, engage with families, and maintain a safe learning environment. The ideal candidate has a minimum of 3 years’ experience working with young children and holds a High School Diploma. Special skills in service-oriented behavior and cultural diversity are preferred. This is a full-time position with local travel requirements.

Qualifications

• Three (3) years of experience with young children, Birth - 5 years old in a group setting.
• Ability to work in a collaborative environment.
• Must obtain CDA Credential within 18 months of employment.

Responsibilities

• Support and assist the Early Learning programming for children aged Birth-5.
• Create a positive atmosphere for children and families.
• Assist teachers with planning and facilitating development of family partnerships.

Skills

Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively

Conducts business in a service-oriented manner

Knowledge and experience working with cultural diversities

Education

High School Diploma or General Education Degree

Child Development Associate (CDA) Credential

Tools

Current Pediatric-Adult CPR/First Aid Certification
