Job summary

About Play is seeking an Early Interventionist to serve Goose Creek, Summerville, Moncks Corner and surrounding areas in South Carolina. The role requires residency in South Carolina and a background working with infants and children ages birth to six.

Responsibilities include delivering family-centered early intervention services, training families in home or natural settings, and promoting development with individualized strategies. Travel up to 50-75% is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education, Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Social Work, Psychology, Sociology, Family & Consumer Science or related field and 1 year of documented experience with children birth to six.
• Or Bachelor’s Degree in any field with 5 years of documented experience with infants/toddlers or birth to 5 years with disabilities.

Responsibilities

• Provide family-centered early intervention services to families with infants and toddlers with developmental delays or disabilities.
• Perform family training with the caregiver and child in home, daycare or natural environment.
• Provide training, education, and support to families in child development, parenting, and family functioning.
• Develop and implement strategies to promote the development of the child.
• Monitor the progress of the child and family.
