Job summary

Easterseals Hawaii is seeking a part-time Physical Therapist to support families in early intervention using a Primary Service Provider model. You will perform evaluations, develop IFSPs, and coach families in functional, routine-based outcomes across natural environments.

The role emphasizes collaboration with a multidisciplinary team, adherence to EI guidelines, and ensuring high-quality, inclusive services within Hawaii.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
• Current Hawaii license in Physical Therapy.
• First Aid and CPR certification.
• One year of physical therapy experience preferred.
• Experience with children in early intervention preferred.

Responsibilities

• Adheres to DOH-EIS, CARF and ESH guidelines.
• Participates in planning for children birth to age three with delays.
• Evaluates eligibility for EI services with a multidisciplinary team.
• Administers and shares PT, sensory and developmental assessments.
• Develops IFSP outcomes with families and team.
• Coaches families using a Primary Service Provider model.
• Maintains 70% billable productivity with proper documentation.
• Provides care coordination per DOH-EIS guidelines if selected.
• Supervises students/volunteers and participates in meetings.
• Delivers services in natural environments (home, daycare, community).
• Performs duties in transitions and collaborates with team.
