Job summary

Lincoln Intermediate Unit 12 seeks a Personal Care Assistant for Early Intervention Preschool to support a student’s development and participation in the educational program. The role involves hands-on assistance, mobility support, and collaboration with the teaching team across two preschool locations.

The position requires travel between locations, reliable transportation, and ongoing professional development to meet PA education requirements.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Current First Aid and CPR certificate required or obtainable.
• Experience with preschoolers with special needs preferred.
• Ability to engage in active hands-on support and frequent transitions.
• LIU-approved crisis management and intervention certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support a student in accessing the educational program with a focus on self-sufficiency and mobility.
• Assist with balance, visual-perceptual activities, and motor skill development.
• Assist in boarding/exiting the school van and family transportation logistics.
• Maintain energy, attentiveness, and responsiveness throughout the day.
