Job summary

Good Shepherd Rehabilitation is seeking an Occupational Therapist for Early Intervention in Lehigh, Northampton and/or Schuylkill Counties, PA. The role focuses on restoring function and preventing disability for patients with rehabilitation needs through medically prescribed OT.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Therapy required.
• 1 year of acute care experience preferred.
• Occupational Therapist license required.
• Basic Life Support / CPR required.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient condition upon order of physician and at regular intervals during assigned shift, integrating patient information to facilitate holistic care.
• Set goals, collaborate and communicate with health-care team, patients and families.
• Document interventions and responses; revise care plans based on patient response.
• Provide information to patients and healthcare team about treatments and continuing care requirements; answer questions.
• Maintain infection-control policies and ensure safety within the care environment.
