Job summary

TheraCare in Queens, NY is hiring an Occupational Therapist for Early Intervention to support infants and toddlers in their natural environments, focusing on fine motor skills, sensory processing, and adaptive behavior.

You will evaluate 0–3-year-olds, develop IFSP-aligned treatment plans, collaborate with families and a multidisciplinary team, coach caregivers, and maintain NYC documentation with a mobile-friendly system; travel across boroughs is required.

Qualifications

• Active NYS license as Occupational Therapist (OT)
• Degree from an accredited OT program
• Experience in early childhood or pediatric therapy preferred
• Knowledge of Early Intervention standards and family-centered care principles

Responsibilities

• Conduct evaluations and provide OT services for children 0–3
• Develop and implement IFSP-aligned treatment plans
• Collaborate with families and interdisciplinary team members
• Coach and educate caregivers for therapy carryover at home
• Maintain records and comply with NYC Early Intervention documentation standards
• Participate in IFSP meetings and case reviews as needed
