Job summary

Benchmark Human Services in Missoula, MT seeks a Family Support Specialist to assist infants, toddlers, and families with access to Montana Milestones and FES services. The role includes intake work, eligibility activities, and helping families create and review an IFSP.

Qualified candidates will have a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, provide leadership and teamwork, and ensure health and safety standards for staff and clients.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required from the listed fields.
• Meet provider enrollment qualifications for a Family Support Specialist.
• Demonstrate leadership, teamwork and effective communication.

Responsibilities

• Function in intake and/or ongoing coordinator role.
• Assist with eligibility determination activities.
• Conduct family assessments including interviewing the family.
• Coordinate evaluations and assessments.
• Inform parents of their rights and help develop IFSPs.
• Maintain accurate, timely records and coordinate services.
• Monitor service delivery and assist families in accessing resources.
• Support transitions from Part C to Part B or other services.
