Job summary

Benchmark Human Services is seeking a Family Support Specialist to assist infants, toddlers and families under Montana Milestones and FES programs. You will work from Browning, MT or nearby areas, coordinating services, assisting with eligibility and assessments, and guiding families through IFSP processes.

The role emphasizes collaboration, documentation, and ensuring services are delivered timely and in accordance with program requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required in a related field.
• Experience with families and/or children preferred.
• Experience with children with disabilities preferred.
• Must meet provider enrollment qualifications for a Family Support Specialist.

Responsibilities

• Function in intake and/or ongoing coordinator role.
• Assist with eligibility determination, including referral, intake and eligibility activities.
• Conduct family assessments by interviewing the family and collecting development observations.
• Coordinate evaluations and IFSP planning, meetings, and reviews.
• Inform parents of their rights and coordinate services with providers.
• Maintain accurate records and coordinate referrals to available services.
