Job summary

Northwest Tri-county Intermediate Unit 5 is seeking an Early Intervention Teacher's Aide (Part-Time) for the Greene Township IU Preschool classroom. The position is itinerant but based in the Greene Township building and offers 10–29.5 hours per week with an afternoon to early evening schedule.

The Aide supports instructional activities, assists teachers and therapists, and performs basic clerical tasks. Candidates must meet education prerequisites and maintain required clearances.

Qualifications

• Reading and writing simple instructions and memos; able to present information to students.
• Basic math operations and measurement.
• Ability to apply instructions from teachers and other professionals.
• Physical demands include standing, lifting up to 65 lb unassisted and up to 150 lb with assistance.
• Must complete and maintain first aid, CPR, and Handle With Care or CPI training as appropriate.
• Maintain confidentiality of student information.
• Must have current Act 114, Act 151, and Act 34 clearances.
• Special training for aide/interpreters and Braille readers/writers.

Responsibilities

• Assist staff with instructional delivery, supervision, and student care.
• Perform clerical, record-keeping, and instructional support duties as required by the teacher.
• Carry out instructional, technical, behavioral, or therapeutic activities as prescribed and supervised.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the teacher or supervisor.
