Job summary

Community Action Early Head Start is growing and we are seeking an energetic Infant/Toddler Associate Teacher to join our team in Lincoln, NE. You will collaborate with the Lead Teacher to plan and implement a high-quality education program for 6 weeks to 3 years, fostering social-emotional, language, and cognitive development.

The role emphasizes building relationships with children and families, ensuring supervision, and contributing to a supportive classroom environment.

Qualifications

• Formal education/training in Early Childhood Education or Child Development via CDA or CDA program.
• Minimum of one year experience with young children and families in a day care or related setting.
• Strong verbal and written proficiencies of the English language.
• Ability to work independently and with interdisciplinary teams to achieve shared program goals.
• Commitment to building relationships with children and families.

Responsibilities

• Plan and implement a developmentally appropriate education program for infants and toddlers.
• Observe, assess and document each child’s health, skills, behavior, growth and development.
• Develop effective partnerships with parents/caregivers by regularly sharing information and encouraging input.
• Assist in managing the classroom in the absence of the Lead Teacher.
• Develop positive relationships with children and families to support development.
