Job summary

Devereux Advanced Behavioral Health in Braddock, PA is hiring a Full-Time Home Visitor for the Early Head Start program to support families with children age 0-3 and expectant families. Work occurs in homes, offices, and community settings, promoting early education and secure attachments.

You will visit families, collaborate with the site team to meet Early Head Start standards, lead group activities twice a month, and manage a caseload of about 11–12 families.

Qualifications

• Associates Degree in Child Development / Early Childhood or related field required (Bachelor’s preferred).
• Act 33/34 Clearances, Pre-Employment Drug Screen and FBI Adam Walsh clearance
• Valid Driver’s license

Responsibilities

• Visiting families in their homes and establishing working relationships.
• Collaborate with the site team to design and implement strategies that support compliance with the Early Head Start Performance Standards.
• Promote optimal development of enrolled children across the five child development domains.
• Provide appropriate parent education.
• Provide home visits to informal child caregivers to promote relationships between parents, children, and caregivers and to ensure integration of the individual child development plan into the care giving environment.
• Lead infant/toddler, parent, and other groups in socialization activities 2 times per month.
• Complete child development assessment every 4-6 months.
• Maintain a caseload of 11-12 families.
