Job summary

Alpha is hiring for a full-time, on-site Early Elementary Teacher role. You will coach 4–9 year olds through app-based core learning, diagnose decoding gaps, and deliver targeted sequences. Leading morning launches and life-skills workshops, you will guide students toward weekly app goals with gamified motivation.

Qualified candidates have 3+ years with children, 2+ years teaching reading in K-3, and structured-literacy training or a master's in literacy. Relocation support is available.

Qualifications

• Willing to work on-site at a campus listed above, with relocation support
• At least 3 years direct work with children ages 4-9 in relevant settings
• At least 2 years of that experience teaching reading in grades K-3 within the last 5 years
• Structured-literacy training or a master's in reading or literacy
• Bachelor's degree in any subject; teaching certificate not required
• 90% of day spent guiding students through app-based learning, 10% on reading sessions
• Willing to work with all K-3 students, not only struggling readers
• Legally authorized to work in the US without visa sponsorship

Responsibilities

• Coaching students through app-based core learning: spotting who is stuck and unblocking them
• Running short structured-literacy sessions with 2–4 students, diagnosing gaps and delivering a designed sequence
• Leading morning launch, life-skills workshops, and check-chart activities
• Driving weekly app goals with school currency, leaderboards, and gamification
• Staying with students through lunch, recess, and closing, planning for frustrated children
