SEK-CAP, Inc. seeks a Substitute Teacher Aide to travel among Southeast Kansas early learning classrooms, providing essential academic, social, and behavioral support to children. You will help maintain ratios, ensure safety, and foster a play-based learning environment under supervision.

Responsibilities include supporting teachers, guiding children through routines, and documenting observations while using agency-provided transportation between centers.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent or currently pursuing early childhood education.
• Enrollment in a program leading to a degree in Early Childhood Education or related field.
• State-awarded certificate meeting CDA requirements or Infant/Toddler CDA eligibility and within one year of hire.

Responsibilities

• Engage children to support language development, learning, and growth.
• Supervise children with active monitoring across indoor/outdoor spaces.
• Assist in mealtime routines and cafeteria transitions.
• Follow emergency procedures to ensure safety.
• Collaborate with staff to maintain a safe, engaging learning environment.
• Document observations in the data system and support the daily schedule.
