University of Kansas Medical Center is seeking a PRN Staff Early Head Start/Head Start Teacher Aide to support licensed teachers in classrooms, assist with daily activities, supervise children, and maintain a safe learning environment for ages birth to five in the Kansas City, Kansas area. The position is part-time, on-call, and involves flexible hours.

Candidates should have a CDA or Early Childhood Certificate (or 9 college credits) and at least 1 year of early childhood teaching experience;

Qualifications

• Education: CDA or Early Childhood Certificate or 9 college credit hours.
• CPR and First Aid certification or become certified within 30 days of employment.
• Must pass background check including fingerprinting.

Responsibilities

• Assist teachers in preparing educational materials and setting up classroom for daily activities.
• Supervise children to ensure safety at all times.
• Rotate between classrooms as needed.
• Follow Head Start policies and procedures.
• Provide daily written communication to families.
