Amergis is seeking a part-time School Aide in Portland, OR to support students needing instructional and behavioral assistance. You will work under the supervision of the special education department and assist with mobility and therapeutic care needs as directed by health professionals.

The role emphasizes compliance with standards, early start, and a benefits package including health/dental/vision insurance, 401k, weekly pay, and flexible scheduling.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Comply with all relevant professional standards of practice.
• Current CPR if applicable.
• TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable.
• Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation).
• Must meet all federal, state and local requirements.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Assist students requiring instructional, and/or behavioral support under supervision of the special education department.
• Provide support services to assist students with personal, physical mobility and therapeutic care needs.
• Support and follow directions from teachers and supervising designee.
• Help maintain a safe, orderly classroom and school environment.
• Collaborate with health professionals as needed.
