Minnetonka Public School Service Center is seeking a Class D1 Early Childhood Special Education Paraprofessional for the Minnetonka Community Education Center (MCEC). The position runs Tuesday through Thursday for 9 hours per week and involves supporting individualized instruction for special education students in both regular and special education classrooms.

Under supervision, you will assist with self-care tasks, operate assistive devices, and maintain progress data.

Qualificações

• Strong communication skills and positive interpersonal skills for interacting with coworkers, supervisors, and the public.
• Ability to work as part of a team in a school setting.
• Experience with observing and recording data to track student progress.

Responsabilidades

• Support and monitor individualized instruction for special education students in academic areas, functional skills, and behavior programs.
• Assist students with self-care tasks (feeding, dressing, toileting); lifting may be required.
• Operate and supervise special education equipment (wheelchairs, augmentative communication devices).
• Participate in IEP and school meetings as requested.
• Write concise observational data and monitor attendance and behavior charts.
