Job summary

Heartbeat Music & Performing Arts Academy (HBMPAA) in San Diego area seeks a Site Supervisor to lead an early childhood education site serving children from infancy through kindergarten. The role reports to the Divisional Director of Early Childhood Education and Compliance and ensures daily operations meet Title 5, Title 22, licensing, funding, and HBMPAA requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science in Early Childhood Education or closely related field
• Infant/toddler coursework minimum six (6) semester units
• California Child Development Site Supervisor Permit or ability to obtain
• Minimum five (5) years of professional experience in ECE/preschool
• Minimum two (2) years of supervisory/lead experience in ECE
• Knowledge of California licensing requirements (Title 5/22)
• Experience supervising employees and maintaining regulatory compliance
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Bilingual preferred but not required unless site designated

Responsibilities

• Provide direct leadership and oversight of day-to-day site operations in compliance with licensing and HBMPAA requirements
• Maintain knowledge of laws, regulations, licensing standards, funding requirements, and policies
• Ensure staff-to-child ratios and supervision requirements are met at all times
• Maintain safe, sanitary, developmentally appropriate environments
• Conduct routine site reviews to identify deficiencies and implement corrective actions
• Elevate licensing, safety, or regulatory concerns to leadership as needed
• Coordinate with licensing visits and inspections and ensure deficiencies are addressed on schedule
• Supervise Teachers, Teaching Assistants, Volunteers, Interns, and site personnel
• Participate in enrollment activities and family engagement
• Monitor health, safety, and emergency preparedness
• Maintain records and documentation for licensing and compliance
• Communicate with Divisional Director and leadership on site performance
• Support continuous improvement and quality initiatives
