Job summary

United Way Miami, Inc. is seeking a Resource Teacher II to support five to nine classrooms, children, and families in the center. You will assist the Center Director with implementing Head Start and regulatory guidelines, while collaborating with teachers to provide quality early childhood education.

The role emphasizes program management, safety, and professional growth, with opportunities for development, benefits, and community impact in a mission-driven environment.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Early Childhood Education or related field.
• DCF/Head Start standards familiarity preferred.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred; strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist Center Director to ensure smooth daily operation of the center.
• Serve as liaison between Center Director and teachers; support tours.
• Maintain required ratios and provide classroom coverage when needed.
• Document incidents and inform parents; update trainings and events.
• Support lesson planning, observations, and screenings across classrooms.
• Help with health, safety, licensing, and daily USDA meal counts.
