Job summary

Treasure Valley Family YMCA in Boise is seeking a Child Development Coordinator to lead the YMCA’s early childhood program. You will supervise staff, oversee staff development, and ensure safe, engaging curricula and activities for children.

Qualifications include a CDA or 12 college credits in early childhood, at least 2 years working with children, and preferred management experience. Role emphasizes teamwork and community partnerships within a supportive Y environment.

Qualifications

• CDA or 12 college credits in early childhood education, child development, elementary education, and/or early childhood special education.
• Minimum 2 years working with children.
• Minimum 1 year management experience is preferred.
• Actively working towards an associate or bachelor’s degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise Child Development staff, including hiring, onboarding, role-modeling, coaching, scheduling, and ongoing development.
• Recruit and manage volunteers per current Volunteer Policies and Guidelines.
• Plan, organize, supervise and facilitate age-appropriate curriculum-based experiences.
• Engage participants and parents to deepen their relationships with the Y cause.
• Participate in team meetings and committees as assigned.
• Lead staff meetings to keep team informed about offerings, schedules, and policies.
• Maintain collaborative relationships with community organizations.
